Night contract, rotation on several modalities, trainings, we have a good atmosphere in the department with good cooperation between different professional categories.

What challenges and development areas are planned?

Staffing is a problem, recruiting new staff is very difficult given that there is a shortage of staff throughout the country. It is a constant project to try to find new smart solutions to cope with staffing and production.

The number of inhabitants in the catchment area?

280,000 in the county, 100,000 in the city.

The number of employees, resident doctors, specialist doctors, nurses and other staff?

A little over 100 employees, of which 34 are radiographers.

Job description and requirements?

Usual tasks for a radiographer, which also includes certain sterile handling and pvc- placement.

No clinical experience is required as you as a radiographer will receive an introduction which is for a period of approximately 3-6 months depending on previous experience. The goal of the introduction is to learn the machinery, routines, methods and working methods at our department.

The person/s we employ must be responsible, flexible and provide good treatment to patients and colleagues.

Does on-call work occur? If so, how is this organized?

No, but active night work, as well as evenings and weekends.

During the introduction (approx. 3-6 months) you work during the day at 7:15-16:15 Monday-Friday.

After that, you start with evening sessions and later even weekend and night sessions.

Salary?

Individual salary setting according to experience.

The base starting salary as a radiographer without experience is at minimum SEK 29,000 (before taxes) for a full-time, daytime work. Nights and weekends add on to this amount.

The candidate begins his employment as a radiographer assistant with 12 months of fixed-term employment and a salary of SEK 28,700. If everything goes according to plan, the fixed-term employment changes to permanent employment as either radiographer assistant or radiographer. Employment as a radiographer requires identification from the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare, which in turn requires C1 in Swedish.

Arrangement for language course B2-C1 when it is carried out after employment in the Region has begun:

The candidate moves to and starts working with us with a B2 language certificate in Swedish. We would like the language course to continue where B2 – C1 is completed from the workplace and combined with work and studies 50%/50%, i.e. work in the mornings and studies in the afternoons Monday – Friday.

Before that, an intensive course is carried out in the home country.
