Position Overview: As a Consultant in Geriatric Medicine, you will play a key role in the provision of specialised care for older adults. Your expertise will contribute to the development and implementation of comprehensive geriatric care plans, ensuring the highest standard of healthcare for our elderly population.
Responsibilities:
Provide expert care in Geriatric Medicine, addressing the unique healthcare needs of older adults.
Lead and participate in multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement personalised care plans.
Conduct assessments, diagnose medical conditions, and prescribe appropriate treatments.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimise patient outcomes.
Contribute to educational programs for medical staff and students.
Qualifications:
Specialist registration with the Irish Medical Council.
Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians or equivalent qualification.
Proven experience as a Consultant in Geriatric Medicine.
Compassionate and patient-centred approach to healthcare.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
