On behalf of a reputable hospital in Western Norway, we are seeking a gastroenterologist to join a dynamic medical clinic known for its commitment to quality patient care and professional development.
The hospital provides a broad range of medical services, including internal medicine, surgery, psychiatry and emergency medicine. Within the medical clinic, there are specialists across several fields, including cardiology, nephrology, pulmonology, endocrinology and gastroenterology. The clinic is also an accredited training facility for internal medicine and its subspecialties.
Responsibilities:
The gastroenterology department offers a full range of services, including gastroscopy, colonoscopy, pH-manometry and advanced procedures such as endoscopic ultrasound and capsule endoscopy. In collaboration with the surgical department, more complex interventions like ERCP, stenting and large polyp removal are also performed.
As a gastroenterologist, you will take on a combination of ward duties, outpatient clinics, and on-call responsibilities. This includes participation in a shared internal medicine rota, which may occasionally involve supporting other departments within the medical division.
Qualifications:
European authorisation as a medical professional.
European certification in internal medicine and/or gastroenterology.
Strong communication skills in English and motivation to learn Norwegian (free language course provided).
Clean criminal record, documented with a police certificate in accordance with the Health Personnel Act.
