Permanent position at the Department of Cancer Treatment at Levanger Hospital.
Levanger is a medium-sized local hospital with emergency functions, serving a population of 100,000. It is large enough to offer varied and interesting tasks, yet small enough to facilitate easy collaboration across different specialties. The Department of Cancer Treatment is part of the Surgical Clinic and includes an oncology outpatient clinic and a palliative care team. Research is an integral part of the department’s activities. Oncology is an exciting and rapidly developing field, with a continually growing patient population.
In 2023, the department conducted nearly 6,100 consultations and over 2,200 treatments. The hospital’s gynaecologists, pulmonologists and haematologists are responsible for patients with their respective cancer diagnoses. The palliative care team operates its own outpatient clinic, provides consultations in the wards, and makes home visits.
